Angel in the Forest

Angel in the Forest
A4. Fine Tip Pen

As an individual, I was always fascinated with the concept of the human soul and how it defines us as humans. Thus with this piece I wanted to portray my perception of the human soul and I chose to do so in a naturalistic style as I felt it best suited the subject matter.
The focal point of the piece is the cloaked angel representing an individual. The rose blooming from the glass heart represents maturity, and the wings represent the importance of reaching ones potential and being patient to prevent making mistakes and being susceptible to negative influences, the imps. The angels represent the good influences in the world, and the forest ground represents the external environment in one’s life, with the contrast of greenery and fungi representing the good and bad experiences.
